Cumberland Command K9

Love Through Structure

Kaylon Pendleton joined the Air Force in 2003, and after 4 years of Nuclear assets he jumped at his 1st chance to become a United States Air Force K9 Handler.   His school was in Lackland Air Force Base, where he learned from the top K9 training program in the world. His training included: K9 Health and Welfare, Principles of Conditioning, Commands, Corrections, and K9 Psychology & Physiology.  He learned how to train and handle attack dogs, and detect for Explosives and Narcotics.

After school he was stationed in Tampa Florida and deployed to Iraq for Explosive Detection.  His training for this deployment taught him more about team work than he ever thought possible.   He learned the true meaning behind a K9 team.  He learned to be a combat life saver for K9’s, treating shock, bloat, bullet wounds and more.  Learning how to trust his K9 partner to save his life and others. After returning home he worked as a Narcotics Patrol K9.

Kaylon spent 3 years in England working alongside British forces with another Explosive Detection Patrol K9. He again deployed to the Middle East and also returned to Lackland AFB to receive his Kennel Master Trainer Certification.  During these deployments and stations that continued on to Tyndall AFB Florida, he worked with many military K9's and other world class trainers, learning all he could from every source possible.  He has dedicated the past 12 years to excellence in his trade and training and now he is dedicated to you, and helping you achieve the same excellence he has seen.  Bringing a team concept to people who do not know what it is like to work with dogs is something he loves doing.

You don’t have to be a Police or Military handler to have the feeling that your pet has your back, or loves you and would do anything for you. That feeling of team and unconditional bond that K9 handlers know so well is achievable, and Kaylon will help you get there.
